Package Die-Cut

Emoji Noodle Packaging

This is a packaging I made for a theoretical brand of whole grain instant noodles called “UNAMI” as a play on the word "UMAMI" (it definitely wasn’t a typo that slipped by until it was too late into the project). Despite that, I think the unique name gives the project more character. The visuals and logo were made in Illustrator.

Type-Classification Comic Strips

 Emoji Comic Strip Panels

These are comic panels from a larger poster I created to describe the eight classifications of type and fonts, using a greyscale/black and white comic strip format with emojis. Individual assets were created and edited in Illustrator and Photoshop and then formatted in InDesign.

Anti-Gambling Booklet

Emoji Anti-Gambling Booklet Front/Back Cover + Example Page

This is the cover and back pages of a stylized anti-gambling campaign that was meant to be an informative booklet mimicking the motifs of For Dummies books. I also have an example of one of the spread pages within the book. The individual assets were also made and edited in Illustrator and Photoshop before being formatted in InDesign.

Character Design Drawing Practice

Row of Cartoon Characters

These aren’t anything special; they are just sketches I lifted from my sketchbook, but these were the first time I ever painted something in Photoshop, and it was a learning experience in using colors and brushes within the program.

Soft Pastel Work

4 Soft Pastel Drawings

The 4 drawings above consist of 2 still lifes, 1 comic book-inspired cover, and a honeycomb closeup, all made with soft pastel chalk. I'd say I liked making these, but the medium is so goddamn messy it's not even funny.

Tesla Annual Magazine Pages 'UGLY' Book Front and Back Cover Restaurant and Gaming Magazine Spreads

The set of images above (from left to right) is a Tesla Annual Report I made. It wasn't my first choice for a project, but it taught me how to use tables and data in InDesign. The second image set is a VOGUE book cover discussing 'changing beauty standards' that is based on the layout of Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. The final image set includes two-page spreads I created for a fancy White Castle menu and a Mega Man 3 video game manual.
